Is the Sean Parks McKinnon Groves Wellness Way “Pirate Ship” Robbing the People of Lake County?

This is the second of a three-part series on “McKinnon Groves Collusion? Will Chairman Sean Parks sell out his own District 2 residents and all of Lake County voters for Big Business Home Builders?

People, politicians and poll-makers throughout Lake County and all of Central Florida are asking WHAT IS WRONG WITH SEAN PARKS?

Why is the District 2 Chairman digging in for big business home builders to vote YES for MORE home builder overdevelopment in Lake County against the overwhelming will of the people?

Is he compromised?

Is he being bribed or blackmailed by the powerful 14 Wellness Way landowner families to vote YES on McKinnon Groves?

Public polling reveals the overwhelming majority of Lake County voters — Republicans, Independents and Democrats — all OPPOSE more home builder overdevelopment.

Yet despite this massive opposition from the people, it appears District 2 Chairman Sean Parks and Commissioners Leslie Campione and Josh Blake are all planning to vote YES at the final McKinnon Groves hearing September 28th.

Lake County voters in District 2 initially thought “THEIR CHAIRMAN” would protect them and vote to STOP the McKinnon Groves Housing Hellscape from destroying the rural character of the greater Flat Lake area.

But the McKinnon Groves hearing on September 7th was a punch-in-the-gut, eye-opener for the people of Lake County. Parks, joined by his tag-team partner Campione and “Ready-to-Vote-Yes-for-Home-Builders” Josh Blake, all revealed themselves to be just politicians in sheep’s clothing — betrothed to big business home builders.

Everyone is asking WHY Sean Parks is so IN LOVE with Scott Boyd and McKinnon Groves when all indications are his YES VOTE on September 28th will derail his reelection in 2022 and quite possibly end his political career forever?

McKinnon Groves is a REALLY BAD PLAN and destroys all faith in Wellness Way. After years of contentious wrangling for very strict Wellness Way regulations, can someone please ask Sean Parks and the Lake County Commissioners WHY the RULES WERE SO EASILY WAIVED on the very first project?

Why were Wellness Way RULES WAIVED for McKinnon Groves?

What good are RULES if we don’t FOLLOW THE RULES?

If you don’t know, Wellness Way regulations require a minimum of 1,000 acres for large planned unit developments. When the Wellness Way Borg pushed by puppet master Parks absorbed several hundred acres in the greater Flat Lake area of southern Lake County — the rural area residents were NOT worried about a big Horizon’s West-style development coming in to destroy their rural way of life as there simply wasn’t enough acreage under the Wellness Way rules.

The rural area residents thought they were protected by the WELLNESS WAY RULES.

But seems Parks built in a backdoor loophole for all his big home builder buddies to get around this in the form of WAIVERS.

Funny thing with Lake County Commissioner WAIVERS… they only seem to work for the “right people”.

If you’re a small home builder proposing to build fifteen homes on low density, large 5-acre parcels that conform to the greater Flat Lake rural area — you are DENIED in anathema according to Sean Parks Wellness Way doctrine.

NO WAIVERS FOR LOW-DENSITY PEASANTS.

But if you’re a HIGH-DENSITY large developer backed by Toll Brothers and Taylor Homes proposing to tear up several hundred acres of rural paradise to build hundreds of homes with thousands of residents and country road clogging cars and you need to get around the 1,000 acre regulation — all you need is a “SEAN PARKS WAIVER”.

If you want to evade having to pay taxes and impact fees to improve the surrounding infrastructure to support all the new growth and want to be ABSOLVED by His Eminence Monsier Parks to stick the tax payers with the final bill for roads and schools — all you need is a “SEAN PARKS WAIVER”.

You see when you’re a special big-business friend of Sean Parks you get very special treatment in the form of a “SEAN PARKS WAIVER” — where big home builders pay nothing and reap unjust profits destroying the rural way of life in Lake County — while tax payers ultimately get stuck with the bill and all the traffic backlogs.

Isn’t a “WAIVER” just another way to dole out special favors and political campaign pay-backs to certain people who helped to get you elected?

While all these big business home builders get tax breaks and waivers — I understand the people of the greater Flat Lake area have now spent over $30,000 of their own money on legal fees simply to hire a land litigation attorney to negotiate with the developer seeking a simple compromise design now known as “PLAN C”.

If McKinnon Groves is approved on September 28th, I’m told these homeowners will spend tens of thousands more on appeal.

AND YES Mr. Parks — the PEOPLE are paying the bill so let’s STOP with the fake news CoNsPiRaCy theories about some mystery home builder trying to torpedo the development in order to make a play for the land?

A simple phone call to the HOA to verify the unanimous homeowner vote to pass a resolution and impose a special assessment to hire the Attorney would be all you need to do in order to confirm the truth.

The people of Lake County should NOT have to hire attorneys out of pocket to fight developers and oppose the politicians they elected to protect them and protect their way of life in rural Lake County.

Shouldn’t politicians be the ones fighting for the people?

Why is Sean Parks together with Leslie Campione and Josh Blake — all ignoring the will of the people of Lake County and fighting FOR big business home builders?

McKinnon Groves and Wellness Way is a shit show.

At the September 7th hearing, a PLAN C was proposed.

PLAN C is NOT about stopping McKinnon Groves.

PLAN C is just a better plan for everyone.

PLAN C is a proposal for LOWER DENSITY in the southern part of McKinnon Groves.

PLAN C is proposing larger 1 to 2 acre parcels and open area parks for the southern 180 acres so it is more compatible with the existing area and doesn’t destroy the rural environment.

If you truly want to build an equestrian community with nature trails for riding, doesn’t it make more sense to have larger 1 to 2 acre parcels so the residents have some land to actually get horses?

What kind of idiot proposes a 55+ Villages-style retirement equestrian community with zero lot line townhomes and no land for horses?

PLAN C conforms to the existing area and will not adversely impact the environment or destroy the rural character of southern Lake County.

WHY won’t Scott Boyd and Lake County Commissioners even agree to discuss a PLAN C?

The reason is MONEY.

The entire McKinnon Groves plan is just wrong.

Just like Wellness Way is all wrong.

Do you think Wellness way is an urban planning disaster implemented by an egomaniac intent on imposing his own draconian legacy?

This is NOT a political issue.

This is about RIGHT and WRONG.

Politicians love to throw around political “labels” to divide and distract the people.

Don’t be fooled.

This is NOT about politics.

This is about the PEOPLE of Lake County.

This is about the destruction of the God-given, rural way of life in Lake County by confused — and some say — compromised politicians.

So, instead of attacking your neighbor accusing them of being “red” or “blue”, how about we all just unite under the red, white and blue and attack the REAL PROBLEM?

Ask yourself who are the ones that keep making all of these bad decisions for Lake County?

Who was the main architect of Wellness Way?

Who pushed the approval of a “SEAN PARKS WAIVER” for McKinnon Groves?

Who is the lead evangelist now pushing McKinnon Groves approval?

Who is steering this entire ship of fools as Chairman-Captain?

There is only ONE PROBLEM the people of Lake County need to fix in 2022.

If McKinnon Groves is approved on September 28th — you will have your answer.
